In order to attend a PADI IDC each potential candidate must meet the following prerequisites, so before you commit yourself please ensure that you can meet those prior to starting the IDC.

Revised IDC program
PADI changed the IDC program in November 2019 to make it more realistic and allow more time for in water training. That new program includes an eLearning portion that the candidate has to complete before the starting date. We will help as much as you need you during your eLearning portion of the training.
Once you have met the necessary requirements, you can enroll on the IDC. The most challenging part of this course is your personal commitment to the training. The course requires you to prepare daily assignments for teaching presentations. Organization and dedication are key.
What is included on the IDC program
MDST Prep. program
If after your IDC you want to become instructor for some specialties we offer the MSDT Prep program. It takes 4 weeks. During the first one you will become instructor of 6 specialties (Nitrox, Deep, Wreck, Drift, Night and Adaptive Techniques). The other 3 weeks you can stay shadowing the courses taught by our experienced instructors and hopefully gaining your firsts certifications as dive instructor.
The cost of the program is 800 USD* (PADI fees not included) and the accommodation is included in our Blue Magic Hostel.
*This price is only for our IDC Students, normal price is 1000 USD.
The day to day of the IDC
IDC’s are run at least 4 times each year with the IE held in Cozumel. Additional programs can be scheduled if there is interest however the IE’s would be held in Playa Del Carmen. IDC programs will be run when we have a minimum of 2 candidates. We will not rush our courses so we prefer to spend 17 days completing the IDC allowing plenty of time to digest, learn, study and practice. Please let me know when you would like to attend your IDC and I will arrange a schedule for you. Typically, we run an extended 17 day program which allows ample time to learn, practice, relax and, believe it or not, dive for fun on one of the scheduled days off, or wind down on the beach.
What we need from you
Once you have committed to the IDC there are a few things that we will need you to provide during your training, and the IE. PADI standards require each candidate to have a full set of dive gear, which, if you don’t have your own will provided for you for the duration of the course and any other training, (this is rental equipment). Additionally, you will need:
These are requirements of your Divemaster course, so you probably already have them.
